Life is different after being diagnosed with cancer. At Arkansas Cancer Institute in Pine Bluff, we know the effects of this disease and its treatment can present unique challenges to patients and their families.

Reach to Recovery

A peer support program providing information and support by connecting women with someone who has been through the breast cancer experience herself. The patient may meet or talk with these volunteers at any point during her breast cancer experience.

TLC Magalog
Sponsored by the American Cancer Society
A free magazine-catalog of products designed for women being treated for cancer to help ease the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. Products are available for breast cancer survivors, as well as women who experience hair loss because of treatment.

Look Good … Feel Better
Sponsored by the American Cancer Society
A nationwide public service program helping women overcome the appearance-related side effects associated with cancer treatment. Trained volunteers offer guidance and instruction to women in a supportive environment, helping them regain their self-confidence and self-esteem.

Man to Man
Sponsored by the American Cancer Society
A support group providing information and support to men with prostate cancer. Some Man to Man groups may invite wives and partners to attend meetings. In other locations, wives and partners meet separately in a group setting called Side by Side.
